Tool & Die Maker, up to $28.93/hr, Madison Heights, MI

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Supports the Quality System
Follows the ATC Die Build Process
Has own tools
Interpret die designs
Equipment - small machine operation

Required Education and Experience:

Tool & Die maker/ Die Construction & Repair
Small machines (lathe, Bridgeport, surface grinders)
EDM- conventional and wire
Layout
Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances (GD&T)
Troubleshooting
Welding (MIG/TIG)
Hands on shop experience
Journeyman card/certificate preferred or 8 yr. + equivalent

The Tool & Die Maker reviews design prints, sets up and operates precision die shop equipment. Manufactures detailed machines. Blocks die assemblies for 3D and profiles. Finalizes assembly after heat treat. Assembles die complete for dry run buyoff before going to Try out. Die build, Die repair. Employees will be trained up on all tasks and will be considered for hire-in after their time with Workbox!
